Life Path & Destiny Number

The main difference between "Life Path & Destiny Number" is while Life Path Number tells us about our "Higher Purpose" in life (not necessarily as defined by "Head"), the Destiny or Expression Number points to how to go about "achieving/expressing" our "Higher purpose".

How do you calculate "Life Path & Destiny Numbers"?  It's not at all complicated. On the contrary, it's actually very simple.

Life Path Number:

The "Life Path Number" is in your Birthdate. Numerology is all about getting to the "Root number". To do this, you split your birthdate into month/day/year format and then work on month, day and year parts individually until they get reduced to a single digit, excluding 11 and 22, which are considered Master Numbers (more on this later).

Let's say, you were born on January 23rd, 1980

January = 01 = 0 + 1 = 1

Day = 23 = 2 +3 = 5

Year = 1980 = 1 + 9 + 8 + 0 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9

Now, add all three 3  numbers (reduced digits) together for the sum of = 1 +5 + 9 = 15 = 1 + 5 = 6.

Your "Life Path Number" is 6. For detailed explanation of individual "Life Path Numbers", please refer to "Life Path Number" section on this website. BTW, my "Life Path Number" is 3.

Master Numbers in Numerology:

As mentioned above, the only time you would not reduce the final number is if you attain 11 or 22. These are considered Master Numbers and connote a more intensified version of their root numbers (2 and 4, respectively). Master Numbers suggest a powerful vibrational energy that is associated with learning, achievement, and success, but likely in a more stressful or higher-stakes context.

For instance, Sir Paul McCartney, perhaps England's most famous Gemini, was born on June 18, 1942. When this date is reduced (month = 6, day = 9, year = 7), the sum is 22. Rather than simplify this to a single digit (yielding 4), the number 22 reflects the Master Number — the higher-octane iteration of 4, revealing McCartney's strong "life mission."

Destiny Number:

The "Destiny Number" is in your name.

Write down your name @ birth as on your birth certificate.

Use the chart below and apply a number to each letter of your name;  first, middle, last.  If you have more than one middle name, please use all of the names as they appear on your birth certificate.  If you’re a Jr., Second or Third, please leave that out of the equation.

Let’s use George (Timothy) Clooney as an example.  You calculate this much in the same way you calculate your Life Path number.  It’s a simple addition problem once you assign a number value to the letter in the name (as indicated by the chart below).  Like always, you must digit down to a one-digit number for each part of the calculation:

The following shows the letters and their numerical value.

A, J, S = 1

B, K, T = 2

C, L, U = 3

D, M, V = 4

E, N, W = 5

F, O, X  = 6

G, P, Y= 7

H, Q, Z = 8

I, R= 9

George Timothy Clooney equates to

George = 7 + 5 + 6 + 9 + 7 + 5 = 39 = 3 + 9 = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3

Timothy = 2 + 9 + 4 + 6 + 2 + 8 + 7 = 38 = 3 + 8 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2

Clooney = 3 + 3 + 6 + 6 + 5 + 5 + 7 = 35 = 3 + 5 = 8

Now, adding all three numbers equates to = 3 + 2 + 8 = 13 = 1 + 3 = 4

George Clooney has Destiny Number of 4.

My Destiny Number was 3. With the name change it turned into a 9 ( I discuss some of it in the Numerology section) but the "integration @the sub-conscientious level" took decades.
