Astrology or Numerology or Both?

I am no expert on Astrology or Numerology but I see Astrology as a counterpart to Numerology. I say that because, although, Astrology in it's very basic form provides us with zodiac sign like Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 19), Taurus (Apr 20 - May 20), Gemini (May 21- June 20) etc., Numerology with it's "Life Path and Destiny numbers" provides a deeper understanding of our nature. Think of it while Astrology gives a10,000 foot view, Numerology provides a much deeper insight into our experiences and "Future direction of Life or our Destiny".

 

Consider two different people who are born as Aries but on different dates. One on March 23rd, 1980 and the other on April 12th, 1991. Now, when you calculate "Life path number" of the person born on March 23rd, 1980, it equates to

Month(3) = 0 + 3 = 3

Day (23) = 2 + 3 = 5 and

Year (1980) = 1 + 9 + 8 + 0 = 18 = 1+ 8 = 9

for a total = 3 + 5 + 9 = 17 = 1 + 7 = 8 (Life Path number)

versus the person born on Apr 12th, 1991

​

Month(4) = 0 + 4 = 4

Day(12) = 1 + 2 = 3

Year(1991) = 1 + 9 + 9 +1 = 20 = 2 + 0 = 2 

​

for a total = 4 + 3 + 2 = 9 (Different Life path number)

Similarly, different people born under "any single zodiac sign" also have different names which could mean different "Destiny".
